I’ve recently discovered a new genre I’m indulging in to help me recover from November (5th) and avoid January (20th) - ROM-MYSTERY (romantic comedy + mystery). This next one was so fun!

Meet Maggie Chase and Ethan Wyatt: She’s the new Queen of the Cozy Mystery. He’s Mr. Big-time Thriller Guy. She hates his guts. He thinks her name is Marcie (no matter how many times she’s told him otherwise.) But when they both accept a cryptic invitation to attend a Christmas house party at the English estate of a reclusive fan, neither is expecting their host to be the most powerful author in the world: Eleanor Ashley, the Duchess of Death herself. That night, the weather turns, and the next morning Eleanor is gone. She vanished from a locked room, and Maggie has to wonder: Is Eleanor in danger? Or is it all some kind of test? Is Ethan the competition? Or is he the only person in that snowbound mansion she can trust? As the snow gets deeper and the stakes get higher, every clue will bring Maggie and Ethan closer to the truth—and each other. Because, this Christmas, these two rivals are going to have to become allies (and maybe more) if they have any hope of saving Eleanor. Assuming they don’t kill each other first.

What are all the Badass Women watching this month?

Sabrina Carpenter delivers a holiday treat with her Netflix Christmas special that’s as quirky as its title. A Nonsense Christmas blends music, comedy, and festive storytelling in a dazzling variety-show format. Carpenter performs tracks from her holiday EP, Fruitcake, and reinvents beloved holiday classics. Special guest appearances by Shania Twain and Kali Uchis bring star power, while comedic cameos from Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, and Nico Hiraga provide laughs.

Set during NASA’s pivotal Apollo 11 moon landing, this romantic comedy on AppleTV mixes space-age drama with irresistible chemistry. Scarlett Johansson plays Kelly Jones, a savvy marketing strategist brought in to polish NASA’s public image. Her unorthodox methods clash with Cole Davis (Channing Tatum), the mission’s straight-laced launch director. As the stakes of the moon landing rise, so does their undeniable attraction.

If you like your comedy a little less romance, a little more dark, then you’ll want to check out this next show!

This eight-episode dark comedy takes a satirical look at the real estate market, relationships, and the secrets we hide. Lydia (Lisa Kudrow) and Paul (Ray Romano) are a couple attempting to sell their historic Los Angeles home to start fresh. But as three desperate families compete to buy the house, their tangled histories collide in unexpected ways. The series explores themes of greed, ambition, and redemption, blending sharp humor with moments of emotional resonance. Packed with twists, No Good Deed will keep viewers guessing—and laughing—until the final episode.

Until next time (next year!), keep living your best badass life!
